Description
The integration of parent/family activities and program curriculum has great impact on children’s readiness for school and future success. We suggest teachers and children first play these activities at school. Then the children may take home a copy of the activity to play with their parents/family. These activities use common household materials that should be readily available. There is no need to buy special materials to play these activities effectively with children.
Research shows that when families are engaged in their children’s education and extend their learning, they perform better academically and have more success in school, and improved social-emotional skills.
