General and Special Education Teachers
Dr. Belinda Karge is a Professor of Doctoral Studies at Concordia University Irvine and a Professor Emeritus from California State University, Fullerton. She received her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, Quantitative Methods and Special Education and her Master’s Degree in Reading from the University of California, Riverside.
Dr. Karge is an expert in research based instructional strategies. Her professional record demonstrates a consistent pattern of scholarly and creative activities including research, publications (two textbooks, five curriculum texts, including three early childhood, four book chapters, over 125 articles), and numerous grants (totaling over twenty million dollars).
During the course of her career, Dr. Karge has made plentiful refereed presentations to groups of school district employees, keynoted conferences, and provided professional development to overseas educators. She has received numerous awards for her teaching and service to the profession. She was honored with the Council for Learning Disabilities Floyd Hudson Outstanding Service to the Field of Learning Disabilities National Award and the Association for Childhood Education International (ACEI) Award.
